THE MISSION OF OUR CHURCH
Before the Lord Jesus Christ ascended into heaven, He commissioned His disciples to “go and make disciples of all nations”. Jesus told His followers to baptize these new “Christians” and to teach them all that He had commanded. It is the same now, as it was then. It is the mission of every church to advance our glorious Lord’s kingdom. We are to be seen as reflections of the profound love that He encouraged to His disciples. To spread His words and teachings by boldly professing His gospel. Through its ministries and fellowships, The First Baptist Church of Andover strives to bring like-minded people together in hopes of attracting even more people who long to know and to worship God. By attending Bible-based sermons and weekly Bible studies, we begin to understand God better, and thus enrich our relationship with Him. Because more than anything, God wants us to really know Him.
